What is Korea like in the 60s? Let’s travel back in time with us! Museum of Modern History of Korea

A lot of Korean fans learnt about Korean history and culture through films and TV dramas, do you wanted to know more? Why don’t you and your friends come to the Museum of Modern History of Korea in coming Christmas to learn more and also shoot some Christmas photos that are different from others.

Museum of Modern History of Korea is located in Heyri Art Village, Paju-si, which is about one-hour drive from Seoul. The museum has turned the life of the postwar period (1960-70s) of Korean people into set and presented here.

The two-story museum has in-built with settings like cinema, stalls, salon, living place, and etc, it really looks like travelled back in time when you walk in it.

Don’t be surprised with all the Chinese characters, as Korea is still using Chinese characters as written language during post-war period.

The most popular shooting spot would be the Girls’ High School typing room on the 1st floor. There are even uniforms for you to borrow when you are taking photos. Why there is a typing room needed? It is because a lot of females see secretary as their dream jobs and typing is one of the essential skills.

Most of the exhibits were collected by the curator himself and really representing the period of time, so please pay special care with every exhibits that you touch.

If you are into vintage or retro style, the museum would be the best place for upcoming Christmas photoshoot with friends, do save a date to visit here when you are planning to go to Seoul.
