Festive Korea 2019 comes to town!

This year, Festive Korea invited Ms. Hye Rim, former member of legendary K-pop group Wonder Girls, as Celebrity Ambassador to promote Festive Korea. Ms. Hye Rim said, “I hope more Hong Kong citizens will join us and know more about the diversified culture and art of Korea.”

Stepping into its 9th edition, with “Kolorful” as its theme, will present more than 30 programs from now to November. Let’s check out the clip for programs highlights.

1. Korean Dessert ‘Han-gwa’ with the Grand Master

Festive Korea 2019 is honoured to invite the No.33 “Korean Food Grand Masters” Park Soon ae to present a tasting lecture and cooking classes. She is going to share the culture of ‘Han-gwa’, secret recipe with us.

Park Soon ae’s own brand “Aruhwa” (‘Han-gwa’ is like beautiful flowers) is being appraised as the top ‘Han-gwa’ among department stores in Korea.

2. Korean Artists at Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival 2019

For this year, Clockenflap has invited a well-known Korean indie rock band, Say Sue Me to town to perform.

With Where We Were Together winning the Best Modern Rock Album and Old Town for Best Modern Rock Song at 2019 Korean Music Awards, Busan-based indie band Say Sue Me have all the ingredients to spice up the Festival. We can’t say more but to end this with a cliché, Rock’N Roll Never Die!

3. 2019 Korean Young Artists Series Exhibition: Translation of the Difference

Korean Young Artist exhibition is also highly recommended. Themed as “Translation of the Difference”, which presents 27 art pieces from 5 artists revealing  how “differences” can be translated into artworks. Taking forms of painting, VR works and others, would be an interesting exhibition for all art lovers.

The exhibition has invited Kim Joo ok, adjunct professor in the Department of Arts at the School of Fine Arts of Hongik University is invited to be the curator of this exhibition.
